Lora has been immersed in the culture of competitive athletics throughout her life. Raised in an ultra marathon and cycling family, she started her own competitive career as a swimmer at the age of six. Initially, she competed for a school team and later raced on the San Jose Aquatics under Jonty Skinner. Since then, she has studied Animal Science at the University of Kentucky, trained in weightlifting, and competed in equestrian sports (H/J and eventing), martial arts, running, triathlon, and cycling.

Her love of sports and interest in sport science evolved into formal education, mentoring other athletes, and eventually becoming a coach. She also learned bike fitting under John Cobb of Cobb Cycling in order to optimize the relationship between athletes and their equipment, to complement the coaching program.

Evidence-based principles in exercise science form the foundation of her programming as she works to meet each athlete's individual needs.

Lora lives in Calgary, AB with her husband, two dogs, two cats, one horse, and ten bikes.
